DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Complete Edition Remastered is a KOEI TECMO GAMES CO., LTD. revival of DYNASTY WARRIORS 3 and its Xtreme Legends expansion. It is a 1 vs. 1,000 action game set in the Three Kingdoms, where players choose from over 40 officers and fight through historical battlefields rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5. The strongest differentiator is the original game's foundational mechanics: True Musou Attacks, two-player simultaneous play, and an officer development system. This Complete Edition combines both DYNASTY WARRIORS 3 and DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Xtreme Legends, including Lu Bu, Meng Huo, and Yuan Shao stories, bodyguard customization, new weapons, and four challenge modes. PC version supports multiple controller types and customizable mouse and keyboard controls.

True Musou Attacks and Officer Development

DYNASTY WARRIORS 3 introduced mechanics that became series mainstays: True Musou Attacks, two-player simultaneous play, and the officer development system. Players pick from more than 40 officers and fight tactical 1 vs. 1,000 battles across Three Kingdoms battlefields. The remaster uses Unreal Engine 5 to recreate the complete cast and numerous battlefields. Progression comes through developing chosen officers, while True Musou Attacks provide high-damage special moves. The original release was the first in the series to sell over one million copies.

Xtreme Legends and Challenge Modes

DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Xtreme Legends adds new stories for seven officers, including Lu Bu, Meng Huo, and Yuan Shao. It also introduces bodyguard customization, new weapons, and four types of challenge modes. These additions expand the base game's roster and battlefield scenarios, giving players more ways to use the officer development system. The Complete Edition Remastered bundles both releases, so buyers get the original DYNASTY WARRIORS 3 and its Xtreme Legends expansion in one product. A separate Digital Deluxe Edition exists, so check the product title to avoid duplicate purchases.

PC Version Features and Control Options

PC-specific support includes multiple controller types, fully customizable mouse and keyboard controls, 4K Ultra-HD, ultrawide monitors, multiple upscaling features, and HDR, based on hardware specifications. These options let players adjust the remaster's presentation and input method. Note that screenshots come from an in-development build and may differ from the final product. The game remains a 1 vs. 1,000 action game built around the Three Kingdoms setting and over 40 officers.
